Developer Licenses

A FlagShip license is required for application development only. Each license is for one specific platform, and one specific Unix type. The price of a license covers the FlagShip compiler, library, documentation and utilities. The developer's license apply for one programmer (developer), additional group licenses are available upon request. With the developer's license, any number of applications can be created. To accomodate various budgets for development and testing, two license options are available (Personal FlagShip and FlagShip Pro). Apart from the flat license fee, no other run-time fees or royalties exist.

FlagShip Pro is intended as the regular license kit for software developers who will resell their executables, and for large inhouse systems, accessed simultaneously by any number of users. Therefore,

The application supports an unlimited number of simultaneous processes or users (or a limited number of users upon request),
The developer may sell the application compiled by FlagShip Pro as often as he likes, since
You may distribute applications/executables created by the FlagShip Pro license w/o any restrictions.
No run-times fees or royalties exist.
Of course, neither the FlagShip compiler, nor C compiler nor other tools are required on the customer's site, but the/your executable only.

The Personal FlagShip is intended as a low cost Starter Kit for personal, company internal/inhouse and software developer use, as well as the presentation of applications. Personal FlagShip has all the features of FlagShip Pro, except:

Personal FlagShip supports the execution of the same application or allows access to the same shared database by two different users (or processes) simultaneously.
Since used "personally" or in-house, executables need to run on the system (computer) where the FlagShip compiler resides.
Therefore, you may not distribute applications/executables created by the Personal FlagShip license to third parties.
There are no run-time licenses or other limitations. You may upgrade to FlagShip Pro at any time.
You may order the Personal License now.

The free FlagShip Eval/Test version is fully functional, and lets you evaluate FlagShip with your applications without any risc. Compared to the full FlagShip license, it is limited only as follows:

The compiler and with it produced executables run for 30 days
An Evaluation key for testing purposes is available for free
The executable produced by this Test drive cannot be distributed.

FlagShip 4.x Demo for commercial Unices

The compiler and with it produced executables run for 30 days, but may be freely reinstalled again.
The produced executable has a 1 hour run-time limit and supports four users simultaneously, the execution speed is reduced.
Any number of records are supported, but only the first hundred records are writable.
The executable produced by this Demo cannot be distributed.

The FS2 Toolbox is an optional extention of the FlagShip compiler and library. The FS2 library includes hundreds of additional functions, call- compatible to the NT2/CA3 Toolbox of CA. It includes i.e. windowing, various data manipulation, communication etc., see the full list of functions. A full documentation is available in the on-line manual "fsman" in every distribution, as well as in the FlagShip printed manual.

Additional/Multiplatform Licenses

For porting the applications to other operating systems, additional discounted FlagShip Pro Licenses for commercial Unices are available (i.e. except from/to the price group 1, means except from/to Linux and MS-Windows platforms, where a bundle is available).

Requirements

The FlagShip development package (compiler, library and tools) will be delivered electronically for the ordered computer type and Unix/Windows platform, for Unix platforms on CD-ROM. The software developer, in addition, needs a C compiler and linker (usually included in the Linux/Unix distribution), for MS-Windows either MS-VC6 or the free BCC32 compiler is required separately here. The end-user needs only the by FlagShip produced executable.

Support

is free of charge for the first 6 months after purchase for the Pro license, and 1 month for the Personal license or upgrades. After that, you will get professional technical support either individual on demand, or you may purchase a yearly support contract which includes unlimited support, free updates and discounted upgrades. Our general business conditions are valid for all shipments. Payment is in EUR by credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer.

For EU countries: please add 19% VAT (value added tax, MWSt) to above net prices, or forward your EU VAT ID number.
For Germany: alle Preise sind netto zuzüglich 19% MWSt.

The price is a one time fee for a single platform developer license of the FlagShip compiler, library and on-line documentation for one specific version of the UNIX or Microsoft Wndows/Vista operating system. No additional run time fees or limitations are set for applications which are developed with FlagShip. Prices for source code licenses are available upon request.
